A personal story, a country to live in
Lebanon is not just a destination.
It is an experience that can only truly be lived with someone who knows it from within.
My name is Jamil Mezher. I was born in Lebanon during a time marked by war and invisible yet deeply felt borders. As a child, my world was limited to the area where I lived: Tripoli, Tyre, or Baalbek were close on the map, yet distant in everyday life.
After the war ended, I graduated in finance and worked in the banking sector. That journey allowed me to travel across Lebanon, discovering landscapes, hidden monasteries, suspended villages, and a population deeply connected to its roots.
With COVID and the global economic crisis, life slowed down. It was a complex period, but also a precious time for reflection.
I immersed myself in Lebanon’s millennia-old history: from the Phoenicians to the Romans, the Holy Valley, the great ancient cities, and its deep religious and cultural traditions.
I realized I wanted to transform this passion into something concrete and shareable.
